Thread: Lutetium and lawrencium?

    These two are normally considered part of the separated blocks in the periodic table, in the lanthanide and actinide series. But wouldn't it be better/more accurate to call them otherwise? After all, unlike the other separated elements, they are d-block elements, not f-orbitals, with similar properties to scandium and yttrium.
