    Hi friends,

Is there any chemical that will produce green color when react with low level of Carbon dioxide gas? Then produce yellow color when the level of Co2 gets very high?

Kindly advice. thanks for your time!

    John,

What you describe reminds me of the "Voice Activated Reaction" ( http://www.chem.purdue.edu/bcce/Voic...ow%20yellow%22). If you refer to this then you only need a pH indicator that turns from blue-green to yellow and that is malachite green. The problem is that for the reaction to be produced clearly it is better that the solution pH is around 7; malachite green range is 0.2-1.8, though.

    Best regards,

    César

Water has a pH of 7. Phenol red is an indicator that will be useful between 6.6 and 8.

    Best regards,
