    Hi,

What factor can change the rate/speed of carbon 14 decay?

Does heat has any influence on this ?
    radiation?

    Anything?

    Nothing.

This is what is making C-14 a reliable dating method. Increased neutron flux may increase rate of formation of C-14, but rate of decay is invariable.

If your ultimate goal is to determine the accuracy of the C14 dating method, volcanoes can cause carbon contamination, which alters C14 concentrations, and consequently, alters the results of the C14 dating method. See also the Seuss Effect.
