    I have 2 questions:

    1) What happens when ascorbic acid is added to a solution containing chlorine?

    2) What happens when ascorbic acid is added to a solution containing chloramine?

It can be assumed the solution only contains the chlorine or chloramine, respectively. I wouldn't mind discussing effects at different pH or in solutions representative of regular tap water. I believe the ascorbic acid helps remove the chloramine from the water, but it does nothing with the chlorine. Anyone that knows, please help!
