Does anyone know what chemical you need to convert infrared light into visible light?
UV needs phosphor, but, what does IR need?
Also, I need to do this practically, so if theres any detail that affects the practical application, I need to know it.

NIR laser can be converted to vis with a frequency doubler, but that is not a chemical process, don't belive there is one unless you consider focusing enough IR on something till it gets hot enough to emit vis
I don't know the composition, but we use cards with a chemical on them that changes IR to visible red, for checking alignments of the invisible IR.
