    Hi!
Is there a way to color water, so that the color will change with temperature (in a range below the boiling point)?
More specifically, I want to study convection in a container filled with water, and to do this, I thought I'd add something that would allow me to trace different areas of different temperature.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

The wiki page on thermochromism may be of some use to you.
