petroleum based products cannot be used with rubber (such as WD40) as it will cause to to warp.

The other day I used some lithium with molybdenum disulfide grease in a syringe and used it all day, at the end of the day I cleaned it out with fairy liquid then left it apart to dry.

Now the rubber on the end has warped and I cannot get it back together. Does anyone know if this grease is incompatible with rubber or is it simply me having been ripped off on ebay?

    much obliged for any help!

it didn't warp ,it expanded due to oils in the grease absorbing into the rubber swelling it. get syringes with a teflon seal.

damn - i was currently of the opinion that to use the device in question i had to push very hard sometimes and I may have stretched the rubber.........

might be a good idea to mix the grease better..............it is supposed to be ok with rubber i thought, but i have seen oils in it.
