Toxic compound redistribution via weather systems
My question cocerns the recent oil geyser in the gulf.It seems reasonable to assume that there is a fair amount of toxic hydrocarbons being evaporarted along with the sea water.I realize that these compounds already exist through natural processes as well as fossil fuel combustion and industry.Given the size of the "spill" and the fact that this may continue for many more months a considerable amount of these toxic compounds could be evaporated into the atmosphere. Now the question. Can these compounds be redistributed inland by wet deposition and other processes?
