Hi... I am new here, but I have a few questions for someone who knows them.
First of all, there are so many different suggested ways to dispost of copper sulfate and things containing it. We don't like near a chemical waste dump... so here is my question. I heard you can mix it with iron filings, and throw the solid away and pour out the liquid... but doesn't that spawn H2SO4? But people use it as root killer, so why can't you just pour it down a drain?
Another is Potassium Hexacyanoferrate, or Potassium ferrocyanide. What if the water I use to make a solution is slightly acidic? What does the pH have to be to set off the deadly gas?
