    when we'd like to do an experiment we need to prepare the [/b]tools[b] or equipment ?

    which one is normally used ?

    I don't know that it really matters which you use... Equipment seems a bit more general, and so might be more appropriate.

    Prepare the equipment. The equipment needs to be calibrated for whatever the experiment calls for. Equipment such as a computer or scale needs to be prepared to give out the right results.
