    hello! i can use barium chloride to test for presence of sulfates.. but what about the other sulfur compounds? can i convert them to sulfates?

    expose it to a polished silver surface, blackening indicates sulfide.

    hmm oh i see thanks! what about quantitative test for sulfur compounds?

    There are air sampling devices that read conc of toxic compounds in air by drawing a specific volume of air thru an indicating packed column and reads in ppm. note that only telles you the conc in the volume tested. Dreagor is one I think.spelling may be off.
    what are you trying to accomplish/ a few details would be helpful.
    rotten eggs emiit H2S so what?
