At what temperature does Gold become a superconductor? I know its a good conductor at room temperature, but what is its critical temperature? If that term means the temperature that it becomes superconducting.
Thanks for any help there.

I can't give a specific heat value but it's maximum conductivity would be reached as close to gaseous while still being liquid
so if golds boiling point is 800 degrees it's maximum conductivity would be 799.99999 degreees
gold never becomes a super conductor at any temperature cold or hot.
where did you get your boiling pt. temperature??
Gold melts at 1337.58 K and boils at 3130K . at least put out accurate misinformation.
For most conductors as temperature goes up, conductivity goes down.Originally Posted by Booms

Clue: SUPERCONDUCTING
