I'd suggest other websites and Mr. Wizard.

You could write an experiment about dissolving the copper jacket on a current US penny and then replating it with copper or some other metal. That's always fun. But it's a little difficult for the average person at home to find some nitric acid.

    What's your audience?

how bout making soap? no, actually too dangerous.

Aim: to make a small light weight object fly up about two meter's.
App: A camara film plastic caseing tube thing. the small lightweight object. a spoon.
Chem: ethonic acid. sodium-bicarbonate. ( i think the second one is right?) .. houshold names .. vinigear and baking powder.
    method:
    1. tape light object to bottom of film case. the container part.
    2. fill container with vingear. one third.
3 add a table spoon of vinegar.
4 place lid on real quick, and place lid down. and watch.

    i love doing that. :P

or do you want proper ones? with real chemicals?
