In our chemistry class last week we talked about glow sticks. And the class assignment was to find related chemical contents of glow sticks? Anybody knows a source to find it?

I belive it is Luminol (C8H7N3O2). It reacts with almost any organic chemical or oxydant, producing light (chemoluminiscence). It is used to find fingerprints

A glow stick is a single-use translucent plastic tube containing isolated substances which when combined are capable of producing light through a chemical reaction-induced chemoluminescence which does not require an electrical power source.
