Ive seen Zeitgeist Addendum and its a really interesting perspective for debate

The core of the movie is the same as "Money as Debt" but its broader in scope and goes on a limb

Im a bit suspicious(whats with the triangle with fingers?) and although I agree with the movie on several facets of what the problem is I dont think their solution, though interesting in an ideal world, is realistic in the real world in the short term.

I' ll be throwing specific comments about the movie's content next time I log in

    Cheers

Ok they propose a Ressourse based Economy, an economy without Money.

An economy without Money sounded very Utopian when I first heard about it, I was quite sckeptical. It took a lot of reading and thinking to see the huge benefits and to knock down most of the practical reasons why it wouldnt work one by one.

At this stage I think an economy without money focused on technological improvement and the resolution of problems at their source would be great and could probably be implemented. I still have a few questions for which I am not satisfied but think a solution could be found in a RBE context.

Gene Roddenbery imagined communicators which became true(cellphones), doors that opened automatically that we know dont even think about, but also envisaged a world without money. Figuring out how such an economy would work is quite challenging but interesting.

How true. I saw a video somewhere about paypal where everything was paid for through the devices and everyday items we use. Fridges could be stocked via a login screen on the door. Kettles would "download" their electricity using a similar screen. from what I recall the whole video was about a moneyless world.

Like you say. who'd have thought of doors that opened themselves.

I'll see if I can find the video again.
