Do you want one where that is the central theme, or just a part of the tale? If th e latter, Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End springs to mind. _________________ The Universe is not only weirder than we imagine it is weirder than we can imagine. J.B.S.Haldane. |

I am thinking The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham comes close. It is about a group of children in a village who begin to develop strange powers, including telepathy that - I think - leads to them becoming a single mind.
I'll browse my collection over the weekend and if I spot anything else I'll post it for you. _________________ The Universe is not only weirder than we imagine it is weirder than we can imagine. J.B.S.Haldane. |

| Or just watch Star Trek - TNG or Voyager and observe the behaviour of the Borg. I'm sure there are (ugly word) 'novelisations' available. |
