I think we should phase out the use of zinc altogether or almost. It is truely a primal cause of cancer. Cadmium is OK and can be used instead. Boron is the antidote for zinc poisoning.

But I need zinc in the calamine lotion I use for some of the skin complaints I’m prone to.

What is the science behind it? I found at least one web site that claimed Cadmium is dangerous and zinc is the safe alternative.

why do cars nowadays rust far slower than cars made say 30years ago ? because they're properly galvanised - that's zinc to you and me

how do oil platforms relatively uncorroded in the north sea ? sacrificial zinc anodes

remember also that brass is an alloy of copper and zinc

+ if i'm not mistaken zinc is one of the essential trace elements the body needs to survive

so in which of these instances has the all-round presence of zinc caused cancer ?

    yep...

There is for instance a whole group of transcription factors famous for the zinc finger binding motif.

that is a misquotation - he actually said "i sink, therefore i am no longer"
