In being an orphan, what should one try to achieve?

That is for oneself to decide, I see no restrictions one would need to impose on one's self for that.

If I were an orphan I would attempt to achieve all that I could to prove to myself and the world that being an orphan wasn't holding me back from achieving my dreams. But as posted above it is down to each individual to decide what they want.

Is being an orphan worse than being the child of uncaring parents?
    Is orphan a helpful label?
Is being different a disadvantage to those who relish difference?

I guess I am asking if there is any disadvantage to the learning process in not being brought up by one's biological parents. Have there been any studies that suggest one's natural parents are better able to tutor oneself as opposed to unnatural parents.

......and, is it possible for a child to orphan themselves from their parents by being deliberately irrascible?

In all seriousness, have you ever thought about why you think you need to "achieve' anything? Who gave you that idea?
