I read in the Smithsonian magazine that libraries are starting to quarantine returned books for 24 hours. Could this mean it is good practice for mail-delivered magazines, newspapers and envelopes?
P.S. My questions aren't for homework. I'm in a place without Internet. I subscribe to science magazines and journals, and a family member transcribes my posts for me. I miss talking science with people who care about science.

Yes I think so, in the US. In most other countries the risk seems to be diminished enough not to bother.

Thank you exchemist. I agree about the lowered risk in other counties.

I thought that they've all but determined that CV19 isn't transmitted from surfaces, objects, etc. (as they originally surmised)

Thought I heard that it was just not the main means of transmission.

Where did you hear that it was almost negligible?
