Hello. I am having trouble on the procedure for degrading biofilm matrix. I know Alginate Lyase and DNase 1 are matrix degrading enzymes, but can they be added after biofilm has formed to degrade it and leave the bacteria intact for study?

Also, is there any way to separate biofilm matrix film from the bacteria so both can be studies independently? Thank you
