A 6-inch skeleton, found in the Atacama desert (Chile), was long held up as proof of extraterrestrials due to its strange appearance.

Researchers have now analysed the fragile skeleton's DNA to find that it is presumably a recent still-born female baby riddled with mutations in genes responsible for bone growth. Perhaps the research will one day benefit patients with similar bone diseases.

"The only safe rule is to dispute only with those of your acquaintance of whom you know that they possess sufficient intelligence and self-respect not to advance absurdities; to appeal to reason and not to authority, and to listen to reason and yield to it; and, finally, to be willing to accept reason even from an opponent, and to be just enough to bear being proved to be in the wrong."

I'd never heard of this - possibly due to not hanging out with believers in little green men (apart from the Russian variety of course). But how interesting.

An obvious (and devious) scheme by NASA and the government to discredit and hide the truth.
Shocking and disgraceful bunch of lies.

The aliens are learning. Surely if they smart enough to travel between the starts they smart enough to have craft that disquish themselves by flying at 30,000' with red left light and green right light as well as plant Earth DNA into themselves to throw off those primitive human scientists.

The specimen is intriguing in a number of ways (that have nothing to do with aliens).

It does not have a newborn-sized skull.
It seems to have all its cartilage ossified into bone, like it was much older than newborn.

I guess that is all covered under the umbrella of "riddled with mutations in genes responsible for bone development".
