Chloroplast or chlorophyll? I know that chloroplast in the plant cell is what processes photosynthesis, but I also heard that chlorophyll absorbs sunlight first.

Chlorophyll is the chemical that absorbs light in the blue and red, but not the green: the green light is reflected, making plants appear green. It is a kind of pigment or dye, effectively (as I know all too well from cleaning my son's cricket kit). Chlorophyll - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chloroplasts are the organelles within plant cells where the chlorophyll is to be found and where photosynthesis takes place: Chloroplast - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
