    hello,
    can somebody tell me how exactly works the power production in the muscles of a gepard/ Acinonyx jubatus in case of reaching a speed over 100 km/h ? (exactly means: if possible give the chemical formulars)

    i can't find any precise information in the internet about the metabolism of a gepard, but i nibbles on finding out the differences between humanly metabolism and the metabolism of this quite fascinating animal!

    for all the helpers: thanks a lot

    edgar

    C6H12O6 + 6 O2 -> 6 H2O + 6 CO2
    is the formula

    The muscles work exacly the same but they most likly got more myoglobin there that stores oxygen in reserve
    And that they like the heart got alot more mithocondrias in them so they can fast get alot of energy when needed. Its the same basic principle as in the heart
