    i don't believe that microbes age...do they? they are esentially the same organism throughout they're lifetime. do we know what was the first organism to actually go through the aging process? i wonder how the mechanism for aging actually developed. thanks.

    well bacteria don't age. they just keep doubling
    also oxidation of proteins and apoptosis may be the causes of ageing
