I'm glad there is research being done around the world.

Does anyone know which type of organization are mainly doing reseach on stem cell cures (universities, governmental research [ex National Institue of Health], or pharmaceuticals).

I would suspect that pharmaceuticals would not be doing a lot of research to find actual cures when they profit so much from disease that makes people dependant on a daily fix, Its wicked a conflict of interest, but thats conjecture just out of thin air.

Well, In the United States, I have to assume that any research is not being done in the University, and certainly there is not any being done by the government here. I assume that it is probably all being done in the private sector because, without federal funding, it is probably the only place they can afford it.

Reason, ethics and public accountability all argue that research on surplus human embryos must be properly regulated. By doing this, you would achieve great good with no conceivable harm."

I meant to put a link to the site on the guardian's page where that letter came from.

I think Dawkin's is one of the funniest. He sounds so damn angry!
