    1. Cattle homeostasis. There is a target hormone level inside a cow's body that its metabolism is 'designed' to achieve. When hormones are added, there is a bit of an increase for a time - a spike. But it is reduced quickly by normal metabolism to that which nature via evolution required. Thus, when we eat meat or milk products, the hormone levels are not much different to that from cattle never given hormones. Milk has been tested numerous times, and appears not to have much difference in hormone levels, and cattle are not slaughtered for meat straight after hormones are added. There is time for hormone levels to return to normal.
    2. Human digestion. Even without hormone addition to food animals, we consume animal hormones all the time, because they are naturally present in meat. We digest those hormones, and they do not enter the blood in unchanged form. The break down of the hormone molecule is sufficiently complete to make it very unlikely that it could affect us in the way that our own sex hormones do.
This is why I like asking questions here. What is reasonably obvious to others sometimes goes right by me but I pick up on odd details others don't pay attention to. I hadn't even considered that we eat animal hormones all the time and our bodies sufficiently deal with processing them like anything else.
Speaking badly about people after they are gone and jumping on the bash the band wagon must do very well for a low self-esteem.

    But possibly, growing up......their were more hormones in the foods some people ate? Just a thought. I wear a size 00 pant...sometimes a 0 and I wear a 0 to 2 in dress.......not a big lady....just fit.

Embryology proves that the male is a derivate of the female, which is why men have nipples..

Because evolution does not run by human logic or aesthetics, and also men and women are not different species (although some may argue :P~ ) and biologically they are, in the scheme of things, very similar.
It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Anyone reading this thread who has not yet worked out why men have nipples must be plain stupid. It has been answered 20 times, using all kinds of different wordings.

Yet strangely I haven't seen the answer that seems the most plausible. It saves coding space in the genome to give both genders the same body parts and then amplify/activate those parts only for one or the other. Why should your DNA carry any more information than it needs to?

I've read about that as being an explanation for the female clitoris, which appears to serve no purpose outside of sexual arousal, and not to even be directly intended to achieve that. I see no reason why the same logic wouldn't apply to male nipples.

If a queen in a hive of bees is the core "evolving" aspect of the hive, with the drones simply serving her, then so also the rest of a person's body is the "hive" which exists merely to serve your eggs/sperm. Whatever is good for them is good for the species.

You are falling into a common trap, which is the belief that evolution has to be efficient or effective. It does not.

Slightly off the thread....men can get breast cancer......I called Maury (he was 86 when dx'd) my one nippled friend....after surgery.....for breast cancer. He found the lump in his breast.

To have somewhere to pierce for wearing nipple rings.

    It'd look stupid otherwise.

I haven't read through the thread so I don't know if this was mentioned. Some men have a lot of nerve endings in their nipples that are connected to their sexual pleasure centers. Other guys, not so much. Not everything about us is for a functional purpose. A lot of things are just for fun. It's a blessing from the Creator or the Random Accident, I take no position on that; but it's evidence that we live in a benevolent universe. Why are there music and art? Why is there baseball? Clearly fun, amusement, and pleasure are some of the organizing principles of the universe.

There's more that you can do with nipples than nurse a baby. By the way did you know that women sometimes orgasm during breastfeeding?
