Thread: Algae and brine shrimp

I want to create a closed ecosystem consisting of brine shrimp and algae. Is there a way to get algae to grow in the salt water faster than leaving it sitting around for a several weeks? It can't kill the shrimp of course (after they are added).

Surely somebody knows how to increase agal growth in a 2 liter bottle of saltwater?
