Thread: SGAPs

First of all, I would like to clarify; SGAPs stands for Synthetic Gecko Adhesive Prototypes. I know completely that these have been made before, however they are quite expensive. My quest is to create an affordable SGAP, but the only way to make one cheap enough is through a 3d printer, which of course, needs to have a budget, and so I have chosen the Makerbot Replicator, a debatable choice, however, I have already create my ninth prototype, and, though it only sticks to fabric, it is stronger than Velcro. My question is, does anyone think I have a chance?(I'm extremely sorry if this is a bad section for this, but Biology was the closest category for a synthetic gecko adhesive. Also, I will post pictures soon, but in the mean time, they are all on twitter.)
