I am looking for some good biology related books to add to my summer reading list. I have read some, including Darwin's Origin of Species, and Stiff-The curious life of human cadavers. suggestions?

What education level are you at e.g. high school, college?
Mm, it really depends which areas of Biology most interest you. If you are at all interested in molecular biology, I woukd rwcommend Alberts et al 'Molecular Biology of the Cell' and Strasser et al 'Biochemistry'. Campbell-Reece 'Biology' is a good introductory text and its contents broad. Wolpert's 'Principles of Developmental Biology' is a good introductory text for understanding how the genome and environment act in concert during the development of an organism to give rise to different phenotypes in a temporal manner. 'Genes' Lewin B. is a must for understanding genetics. This is sufficient stating material, I think! Best wishes, Tri
I have a few suggestions:
*Color Atlas of Anatomy: A Photographic Study of the Human Body by Rohen is an interesting and informative book on anatomy - pretty much exactly what the title suggests, so it's not for the faint of heart.
*The Dragons of Eden by Carl Sagan deals with evolutionary biology.
*The Extended Phenotype by Richard Dawkins on genetics.
*The Elements: A Visual Exploration of Every Known Atom in the Universe. Another "picture" book. I know it's chemistry instead of biology, but still very interesting, funny, and and does discuss applications of the elements which include biology.
Hope this helps. Enjoy!
