could we record memories on hard drives? scientists say you can convert brain waves to computer code, and that the average brain would take up a few terabytes of disk space, so couldnt we take a snapshot of our brain, so to preserve memories? and you could watch "video" of what you have saw, pictures of certain memories, and could delete your memory of a book so it would be a surprise everytime!

And, the wierdist concept of all, could we save photos, videos, and books on your brain? i mean, convert your brain from brain format to the standard FAT32 disk format, install a media player and pdf reader, convert back to brain, put back on brain? you could write a book in your head, make a animated movie if your just sitting around, or even surf the web! it would be so easy to study and stuff like that.

    Hmmm...
Firstly your poll is in the present tense (can) so the answer has to be NO
future tense (will ever) might be something different.

I would have though if the 'average' brain believes all this, the average brain could probably be stored in a few kilobytes (any of you out there old enough to remember what they are?).

I guess these must be the same 'scientists' that believe in psychokinesis, fairies at the bottom of the garden - Can you give me a single example of where any of these 'scientitsts' have achieved some recognition through making a practical advance to humankind.

but the thing is scientists have already changed a monkey brain into 0s and 1s wo why not human brain? the only reason we didnt do human brain is it took to much space.

thats a false myth. We use our entire brain. We just use 10% of the brain at one time. but over a day we use about 100%

and yes i think we will be able to download our brains into computers.
a brain is a storage/processing device. The information it contain can be transformed into other forms of storage. Logical. The hard thing is thou to get the inforamtion and make sense of it.
