Im 27 atm, yet im plagued with voice cracks and i cant understand why, what are possible causes? Quiet an emberassing situation! It doesent happen often, but it does happen on a regular level - like in 1-3 times a week. Tried googling this but couldnt find a good answer, most posts on the internet about this is puberty related.
Either you occasionally try to speak at a pitch your vocal cords can't comfortably support, or something is causing a change to your vocal cords so that your normal range is lowered.
It might be worthwhile to speak to a doctor about it if you're concerned, nodules on your vocal cords can cause voice cracking. You could make an appointment to have a doctor look at your larynx, it's not too invasive.
Do you by any chance suffer from asthma or allergies? Or even just get a lot of head colds or throat infections? Excess mucus production can cause a voice breaking effect if it results in a lot of residue in your throat.Quote:
