    Hello, as I understand you get vitamins from the sun or mayby thats just an old saying.

    But if you do, does the skins cells use fotosynthesis to make these vitamins or mayby its suger?

    Yes vitamin D is produced in the skin. No it is not fotosynthesis (sic) referring to the chlorophyll process in plants. It is a different mechanism, though since the UVb generates the Vitamin D3 it is generated by light.

    Is the sun beams essential for the creation of Vitamin D3?
