WE INSIST ON PLANTING MORE TREES. I RECEIVED A QUESTION FROM ONE YOUNG PERSON LIKE THIS --- TREES UTILISES CARBON-DI-OXIDE FOR PHOTOSYNTHESIS IN THE MORNING AND EXCRETS OXYGEN IN AIR WHICH IS USEFUL TO US BUT DURING NIGHT TIME THEY DONT DO PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND RATHER EMIT CARBON-DI-OXIDE TO ATMOSPHERE, THEN THIS IS HARMFUL TO US IF WE PLANT MORE TREES--- I AM UNABLE TO ANSWER. PROVIDE ME SUITABLE ANSWER. THANKS

Hi dear friend...... This is because of that trees gives out oxygen during photosynthesis at day time which is used by us, and absorbs carbon dioxide..... but at night they evolves carbon dioxide to maintain the balanced proportion of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere..... By percent proportion carbon dioxide is 0.03% in the atmosphere.... Carbon Dioxide together with Ozone helps to stop the radiations of sun and heat to reach the earth directly.... If Carbon Dioxide is reduced, the heat will come directly and the temperature of earth will be high, The snow and ice capped mountains will be melted... So in order to maintain the carbon dioxide proportion in the atmosphere, trees exhale or give out carbon dioxide during night time....
    Thanks

Ask yourself what the largest fraction of a tree's mass consists of and where does that mass come from.

    p.s.

Ammad, I think you need a refresher on the carbon cycle.

Friends thanks for your response but still my question is not answered directly. By planting more trees, we end up more co2 in to the atmosphere-is it harmful?

Trees fix carbon, so there is less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere if you plant lots of trees.

Yes, trees give off carbon dioxide when they respire (day and night), but they absorb more than they release. The carbon dioxide is locked away in the tree as other carbon compounds. When the tree dies and rots away, or is burnt in a fire, the carbon is released back into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide. It's more complicated than that, but that's the basic idea.
