I was wondering if it would be possible to create a sort of inside ecosystem where plants used the light from the bioluminesence of different animals who would in turn survive by feeding on the plant. Would this work or does the sun provide something those animals don't?

    just wondering

Plants can use light from any source. However, there would not be enough light for the plants to grow. Your idea would violate the law of conservation of energy. It's a biological perpetual motion machine.

There are, however, plants which grow in the complete absence of sunlight based on chemsynthesis alone... such as near black smokers and/or hydrothermal vents.

The base of hydrothermal vent ecosystems is chemolithotrophic arachaea, not plants though.

Harold seems to be right, just because of the loss of energy, and the need for there to be some sort of external energy source for the system to survive, such a hypothesized ecosystem could not function. All ecosystems need an external energy source by virtue of the principles of entropy and the loss of energy. For most ecosystems on Earth the sun provides that energy source.

As to non-photosynthetic plants, there are parasitic plants that have lost the ability to photosynthesize. They tend to live off other plants, since plants aren't good at chasing things.

And to take a slightly different perspective on the opening question most plants have periods of growth, from seed, or tubers etc, where they grow without the presence of sunlight. However, they are using energy reserves created by photosynthesis.
