As you all know, biology is the least advanced natural science. Now, considering the question why, I came to conclusion that it is so because biology uses live beings as test subjects. I was wondering, would it really be so unethical to use, say, prisoners on the death row as test subjects? I mean, they are sentenced to death anyway, and, let's be honest. Probably the greatest biologist of our time was dr. Mengele, and only because he had almost unlimited test subjects. Would it really be impossible to use prisoners for advancement of science?

What do you mean by natural science? Yeah ethics can be a downer, in the case of prisoners you have to consider the rights of their prisoners. They have been sentanced to death, were they sentanced to being probed and cut up before dieing, what kind of death.

Sorry, English is not my native language. In my language, natural sciences is a name for group of sciences consisting of physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, geology, and all of their sub-sciences. I do understand that the human rights movement would probably be enraged in case of such decision, but let's say offering them a choice. If they survive the experiment, they only get life in prison

no my mistake about the natural science, i just looked at the heading biology was under in the main page just now . Fair enough if you offer the prisoners a choice, i think you would have to inform them all about it before hand though but other wise it sounds fine. Many would probaly accept.
    just wondering
