I had read an article in the magazine. it refers that a blind man's eye can be renovated with a new set of camaras attached to a brain and can be made to see and i had heard of it before too but i wonder how can the cameras be attached to a brain, a cellular and hormonal organ. if it is so than new artificial hearts can also be created.

This remains in the future. If the optic nerve is intact, then all that is required is to convert signals from a camera to a form that would activate the optic nerve appropriately. There is a very large implication in the word all, reflecting a level of microsurgery and nanotechnology beyond what we presently possess.

I agree that it could be connected to optic nerves but i had seen the camera's wires connected to to the head somewhere in brain.

I think they're wired to a part of the brain which detects luminosity, not to the image-processing structures. :?

Brightness level. How much light there is. Like when you have your eyes shut, but you can still tell whether it is day or night, or if someone is shining a bright light in your face.

Well, another thing, not unlike mechanical eyes, are contacts that show night vision, infared, and record video. these would be perfect for the military. they could be powered my body movements, and video recorded on a device in a pocket or something.
