What is the main difference between the crushing and pressing processes in winemaking? Depending on the wine being made, sometimes the crushing process is completely skipped out. Both processes are to extract juice from the grapes and separate the skins; are they not? Is there a major difference? The two processes are often stated as having individual importance.
    Thanks

Winemaking, or vinification, is the production of wine, starting with selection of the grapes or other produce and ending with bottling the finished wine. Although most wine is made from grapes, it may also be made from other fruit or non-toxic plant material. Mead is a wine that is made with honey being the primary ingredient after water.
