    Hi Biology Forum!

My name is Jenny. I'm a sophomore in high school taking biology and I have to do an interview on a science professional. That means someone with a B.S. degree in science. So if you're willing to do this interview, I need to know the following information about you: your name, position, workplace, street address, city, state and telephone number. (If you wish, you could send this via PM.)

    Here are the questions!

1.)What college(s) did you go to and what did you major in?
2.)What made you go into this field?
3.)What barriers did you encounter as you were studying for this career?
    4.)What made you become a scientist/doctor?
5.)What is your typical day like?
6.)What are the positives about your job?
7.)What are the negatives about your job?
8.)What subjects in school helped you the most for your field?
9.)Are you content you chose this job?
10.)What advice would you give to someone pursuing your same career?

    Thanks!

Someone with a B.S. is not a science professional.

You can find my name, telephone number, place of work etc. on my publications, as is the case for all science professionals.

    Now for the important information.

1.)What college(s) did you go to and what did you major in?
I went to University as a Science Professional should. Not some college. Pffft

2.)What made you go into this field?
    An error.

3.)What barriers did you encounter as you were studying for this career?
None. They were happy to have me since students mean money.

    4.)What made you become a scientist/doctor?
Defending my PhD these made me become a doctor.

5.)What is your typical day like?
Get up early. Work hard. Go home. take care of the kids.

6.)What are the positives about your job?
I get to destroy people's egos when I peer review manuscripts.

7.)What are the negatives about your job?
Some idoits don't understand my manuscripts and give stupid referee comments.

8.)What subjects in school helped you the most for your field?
    Asskissing and backstabbing.

9.)Are you content you chose this job?
I like to think it is a calling.

10.)What advice would you give to someone pursuing your same career?
    give up.

Good luck on your project. I would recommend contacting a lab and asking for someone who enjoys their work. Anyone can hate anything, and we don't need to learn how. What is difficult is finding something you love to do, and we can use all the hints there are.

    It's just Phishing spam.

    It's not a real person.

This is one survey too many for my liking. Note to any other "students" who need to interview scientists: very few of us here are actual practicing scientists. This is not a good place to look if that's what you need. Meanwhile this is a discussion forum not a survey forum so unless you'd like to start a topic that will actually start a discussion then please don't bother to post. Thread locked.

Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.
