What characteristics of IFNg suggest it is more similar to IL-2 than to IFNa?

I can't seem to make this connection. Thanks

More similar in what sense? General function? You could probably figure this one out from Wikipedia. Contrast the functions of alpha and gamma in immune responses and then see what IL-2 does. Sort of an odd and nebulous question, unless they're going for tiredsleepy's kinda take on the signalling pathways.
