I've always wondered is this stuff is for real:

Certainly the T Rex protein is more iffy: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/20...knews.taxonomy

What do you think of this?

Both completely true. I can probably rustle up the articles in science journals that report on these finds if you would like. Matter of fact, I went to an anthropology conference a week ago where a member of the lab working on the neanderthal genome gave a presentation on their progress.

Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.

In terms of percentage similarity, not as part of the evolutionary line (but I am sure you did not mean it that way), And AFAIK it also shows that there probably was no mixing between them and the human genome, which was one hypothesis for what happened to the Neanderthals.
