Well... I heard somewhere that cats see light differently than humans, so why and how do they do this, and what effect does it have on the TV?

Cats can see CRT images. I had a kitten that used to bat the Atari tank.

I think the issue is that most of our images are meaningless and visually "hard" for animals. For example the checkers of a hunter's jacket pop out for human perception, but a deer's perception stumbles over that. Likewise humans don't see undergrowth as a cat does - it's basically a senseless jumble to our eye.

My cat used to watch house religiously and would freak out when they called a code.

I had to force my cat to start paying the cable bill. He always hid the remote on me, too.

I had a cat that used to watch cartoons with me. Another who growled at dogs on television.

Anyway, they'd have to wrestle with me for the remote.

There are DVDs you can buy that are like hours of squirrels and birds running around. Cats apparently go catty for it.

My old cats tried wacking my mouse on the screen. They might not be able to see like checkers or small detail but they can see movement and outlines as far as i know.
I appoligize for mistakes in grammar, puncuation, and spelling. Cuz i suck at that stuff.

I remember there was a virtual cat that meowed when you ran your mouse over it. I had some fun times aggravating my cat who kept looking all around the computer for the cat behind that realistic meow.

Can't remember the name of the virtual cat. Something with M. It was a decade or more ago.

Perhaps a pithier way to ask this question is: "Why can't humans regard housecats seriously?"

They come in less cuddly forms too, I worked 3 years as a veterinary assistant at a clinic specializing in cats. I don't think I'll ever get rid of the scars haha.
