My Synopsis of The Body Electric by Robert Becker:

A Russian scientist named Sinyukin measured a negative flow of electrons from damaged tomatoes. The current proved true to all wounds found in plants and animals. After a few weeks the current reverses polarity and becomes positive. The metabolic rate of the organism also increases. Extra current was applied to tomatoes and they recovered up to threee times faster than normal. It has been proposed to used this discovery in the treatment of cancer by turning off cancer growth which is perpetuated by a negative electric current. A positive flow would possilbly turn the flow off and halt metastitis in its tracks. Since the nerve size is proportional to the amount of regeneration after injury and the extent of injury is proportional to the current of injury, the amount of nerve is supposedly proportional to the current of the injury, and the current of injury is proportional to the amount of regeneration. In salamanders, this allows an epithelial ingrowth and nerve growth after limb, jaw or eyelid removal, which will eventually form a blastema containing undifferentiated cells (neo stem cells) that completely regrow the lost bodyparts. One day human limbs, spinal cords and organs may be able to be replaced by the electric power of one's own body.

Does this theory have much support?
