    I wanted to ask you people, that what will happen if the amount of calcium in our body is more than required ??

    you're calcium absorption is generally well regulated by your parathyroid glands and by feedback from active vitamin D levels. There is an interaction between the bones and your parathyroid gland when more calcium is needed and calcitonin also regulates calcium.

    When you say too much calcium you can't really have too much in the "body" as such, the majority is held within the bone matrix. but
    Assuming you mean high calcium in the blood...
    symptomatically you get "bones, stones, moans and abdominal groans", you get abdominal pain and vomiting, possibly pancreatitis, psychosis/depression, kidney stones (you will drink more and excrete more urine with hypercalciuria) and possibly renal failure. You'll also feel weak and tired.

    If it is sufficiently high it can cause arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, coma and death so its a medical emergency over 4mmol/l.
