Thread: Alter Ego

I ended up stumbling upon this website with...well. Stumbleupon.

After completing an entire lifetime, I left with my head quite clouded. During the course of the game I used the opportunity to create a mental profile of my "alter ego", and give it its own life. I kept some of my apparent born capabilities and removed some of the disadvantages I was born in to.

The result was quite a very interesting analysis. I managed to compare myself to a more "ideal" version, which allowed me to iron out flaws in my current living patterns much more easily.

For the aspiring psychologist (like myself), this is an invaluable tool to better analyze yourself. Hell, even for someone that simply has a good mind for analysis. I advise that, young or old, you shouldn't pass this game up. Just be prepared to walk away feeling someone stuffed if you make an extensive "profile" in your mind like I did. And I'm used to doing that! :?

It's very good Jeremy, Time consuming but very good. I personally found myself choosing between my past self and what I would have done, and my now more newer approach to life. Oh if you could only go back into your youth and put everone in your place with what you know now .

Only kidding, most probably those people are all no-bodies now anyway so it proves that meekness pays! So I guess after all I wouldn't change anything.

It is not flawless though, some questions are vauge and mis-interperetable.

I actually thought it wasn't time consuming enough; the phases just didn't last long enough.

I finished college at what I assume must have been around thirty, even though I started as soon as the option was available. Got the "assistant at a law firm" job early, so had no financial difficulties throughout. But nevertheless only went into the career I qualified in slightly before retiring. I should've just partied away my education money.

Also only dated three women before I hit old age. I was so depressed about it, that I asked some woman to marry me two turns before I slipped away quietly into the night. She said no

I had so much youthful potential. I deserved a wife and kids, damn it.

Relationships in this game seem quite randomized and pointless. I tried three myself. One simply left me because I became too popular (college), the other was MARRIED, and the last one...hmm...I think I died before we married

Yeah, I got her too. I figured she was a con artist, when one of the scenarios involved her asking for a $10,000 investment in a business scheme. After I refused, she invested herself and became a millionaire. So I figured I'd try keep dating her and get all her money.

    This game is boring.

How am I supposed to answer questions from the perception of a baby? I'm a grown adult; I don't know what babies think. With that aside, how am I, as an adult, suppose to make choices as a baby or adolescent, while at the same time, detaching my brain - My mature understanding that comes with being an adult?

How does any of this create in any way an authentic alter ego?

...and how come I don't get to shoot any zombies or anything?
