We have managed to create over population, climate change and a pandemic which could be with us for decades.
Linking these causes is knowledge in the form of science and technology.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but more is a much bigger danger.
Stephen Hawking revised his estimate on our planet becoming Venus-like from a thousand years to a century.

After the G7 in Cornwall last week it's clearer that politicians only have growing the economy in mind and are impotent to do anything.
Then I hear that we need to get cars off the road and planes out of the sky, not next year but now.
We should also recreate a feudal type society and not venture more than a mile from home.
As humans need some sort of faith, but which is essentially for fools, what hope to you see?

The two biggest problems facing humanity are avarice and ignorance. Until these can be sufficiently reduced, there are no solutions.

Ignorance is the biggest of the two, since it is the masses that cause most of the mess you describe.

Science gave some of us, those in power, the tools to advance the problems. Ignorance endlessly perpetuates the problems, exploited by those in power. Solve the problem of mass ignorance, and you might have an answer.

Nothing short of this will work.

Seems the only way to save the planet would be to move to another one.
Can technology provide that in time?
