Actually, I think that you will find that man makes the clothes.

The hand of time rested on the half-hour mark, and all along that old front line of the English there came a whistling and a crying. The men of the first wave climbed up the parapets, in tumult, darkness, and the presence of death, and having done with all pleasant things, advanced across No Man's Land to begin the Battle of the Somme. - Poet John Masefield.

    yeah,

Most descent hardworking types wear ordinary mundane sweat stained clothes while Politicians, Solicitors and Mafia heads wear smart suits.

I believe that clothes tell a lot of the wearer. Clothes doesn't tell much of the intelligence or stupidity, but they do tell about hobbys, musical taste and personality.
I have noticed this from my friends and relatives.

well said. i definitely agree with you. what i was trying to get at here is pretty much what you said. Clothing can often cause people to formulate opinions of others, depending on what the clothing is... But then the other side of it is that its not always a wise thing to judge people on their appearance.

I think your clothes also tell other people what you want them to think of you. Why does a politician wear a suit ?
