Hey guys, I'm running an experiment that I can't explain the details of just yet, because I'm just collecting data, but I was just wondering if you could do me a quick favour.

If you have a moment, I'm going to give you a word and you're going to write as a response, every word and association you have with that word. Anything that comes to your mind. It can be in list-form, it doesn't even have to really make sense. I'm looking for instinctual brain-farts here. If you can, maybe avoid looking at what others have written just to warn off priming and fear of repetition. In case you do sight the other responses, don't worry about repeating the same things. I want whatever comes to YOUR mind, and if it matches what somebody else says about it, then that's alright.

Okay, so, as many words and associations as you can think of. Ready? The word is: Money.

I've stopped at three words, as any more requires a conscious effort to hunt them down. I'm not sure if it matters, but I should state that English isn't my first language if you want to consider that being a variable.

Scientists and religionists can be easily differentiated: one lot is arrogant, irascible and disdainful, the other believes in God.

    Not what I meant.
The only things that I think about when I see a dollar sign is (1) How much is that in real money? and (B) What's the postage going to cost? 1 i.e. "Probably not affordable".
I really did mean Flying Lizards.
It was the first thing that came to mind.

1 Although I have just signed up for a Patreon campaign that's costing me dollars. Fortunately the products I'll receive are PDFs - zero postage.
(And yes, that's me in one of the patron photos).

I chuckled at your last name, due to ducks having a rather large member for their size, it seemed ironic. The first word that came to my mind was "Pen Lasagna".

I ate Penne Frigate once and the ships battled until I flushed.
