I'll give a link. It's a free online course just started today from Princeton University - if the link does not work, just search coursera, then courses, then start typing in Buddhism into their resident search engine.

Well it seemed obvious that the point of the thread is to offer this and or many other free online courses to forum members. This particular course I posted in the psychology section since it is about psychology. If you are not interested, find a topic or make a topic you are interested in, or see a point in.

Perhaps you missed the idea that this is a discussion forum.
OPs with zero discussion are discouraged.
(Plus, of course, one would assume that anyone intending to take a course in anything would also have the nous to look it up for themselves).

    started today from Princeton University
Except that it's actually run by a firm called Coursera.

The nous? Just a term for basic intelligence, but how does a mind look for something it does not know exists, unless other minds would freely share their ideas and knowledge? Now you claim this is a discussion forum, and I am and have been discussing.

Ever heard of something called "the internet"?
    Or "Google"?

    Mayflow

This is not really acceptable. If you think the organisation is worth knowing about for all the courses they run, stick their details in the "Links" forum.

Starting a thread - supplying a link on a particular course with no discussion or question about the course content - is not useful. Nor is it desirable.
