I hope this doesn't ruin anyone's dinner plans.....people fantasize about many things but like anything there are extremes. Personally I can't think of a psychological term for this particular instance. It is a bizarre and macabre story, twilight zone material. Is it murder, suicide, a form of depression, a deep underlying psychosis, a throwback to the primitive behavior of our early ancestors, who knows? A strange lust or obsession for sure. The fact that two people can meet and satisfy fantasies that, although similar in nature, are at somewhat opposite ends is strange enough. At least they didn't involve anyone else.

All that belongs to human understanding, in this deep ignorance and obscurity, is to be skeptical, or at least cautious; and not to admit of any hypothesis, whatsoever; much less, of any which is supported by no appearance of probability...Hume

    Restaurant chain name perhaps?

You could sell franchises. Order online. A new meaning for 'Add to cart'.

The story is disturbing enough but being able to place an advertisement, that's insane. People have their fantasies I know but what was the diner hoping for when he planted the body parts?

The alleged killer may have only wanted to kill.

Every conceivable event will eventually happen, it's just that the Internet increases this eventuality tremendously. It's the Future Shock of Future Shock, which few people realize. Perhaps the "fourth stage" of Future Shock, to use Toffler's terminology.

Survive being "connected"? Some cyber bullying victims don't. A few victims of violence haven't. The Craigslist killer. Cyberstalking. Cyber cheating. Identity theft. 419 scams and other Internet-related fraud. Computer addiction. Kiddy porn. Cyber terrorism. NSA eavesdropping. Cyber warfare. It all takes it toll.

I think the killer needed to kill. The victim wanted suicide. They both got their wish.

Still one of the most bizarre forms of aberrant behavior there is I suppose.

I commented in another thread here about fantasy life and it suits this scenario: sometimes it's best to leave fantasy, as fantasy. Yikes. O_o

Well I am not going to eat my roast chicken now.

The following things jump out at me regarding this.

    1. The killer failed in his agreement with the victim. It appears he didn't eat him despite chopping him up. That amounts to a breach of contract. Perhaps in this instance a civil violation as opposed to a criminal one with regards to the perpetrator and victim concerned. Perhaps he can be sued / (toungue in cheek)

    2. Be careful what you wish for as there is likely always someone out there that will be accommodating.

    3. It's not the meal that is important but the experience to be had by the diner (note to any budding restauranteurs out there).

    4. Just yuck.......what is wrong with some people!!!!!

    :-))
