I've recently heard about a hypothesis that autistic people are hypersensitive, rather than oblivious, to the emotional content of faces. I think that the face processing deficiencies in autism stem from hyperactivation in the central wiring of emotion that generates hypersensitivity to social stimuli, contributing toward gaze fixation, which results in aberrant activation of the fusiform gyrus.

I could say the same, almost word-for-word. Okay, what does this mean?
